Amy Weatherford is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She spent 7 years as an emergency room nurse locally and traveling to other states. In May of 2020, she received a Masters of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University and worked in urgent care for over a year before joining CIMC.

She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her certifications include Botox and Dermal fillers, Advanced cardiac life support, Pediatric advanced cardiac life support, and Trauma nursing core course.

“I am a free spirit and I roll with the punches. Being a nurse practitioner is fun and challenging. Most importantly it allows me to make a positive impact on my community. My husband Caleb and I spend most of our time chasing after our three baby boys, Edison, Atlas, and Whit. When I’m not hiding from my kids with a glass of wine; I love brunch with friends, leg days at the gym, trying out new recipes, and binge watching The Office.”
